storm in a jar is an a cappella group of four dedicated vocalists:
Sterre Konijn, Michaela Riener, Rianne Wilbers and Fanny Alofs.
we sing contemporary music as well as ancient works.
we team up with partners like Silbersee, HIIIT, Het Muziek, Ereprijs, RPhO, Maya Fridman Foundation.
we build new concert experiences of our own. singing, playing instruments, arranging. and we indulge in instant composing.
we’ve been lifted up by great music and we’d like to share it with you.

inner space
our current program inner space features mind-blowing harmonies, echoing the vastness of the universe. some songs are a meditation, breathing the intimacy of cloistered ages. other songs are a scream for change in an appalling, unjust world.
we combine group improvisations with works by David Lang, John Tavener, Roderik de Man, Louis Andriessen, Howard Skempton, Arvo Pärt, Diederik Van Der Laag, Jonathan Dove and more.
